the reason why it's not working out for you, you stupid worthless fucktard, is because you're not qualified. not in the talent department, and even less in the emotional maturity dept. do me a favour and just go play in traffic with a blindfold on 8-)
i've gotten a fair amount of mail asking where the hell i've been for the last few days... well i took a break, courtesy of ibm. yes that's right, the kind and helpful folk at ibm posted a flash bios update for my model 'puter on their site and being the good 'puter update loving girl that i am, i installed it. and it blew my puter all to hell...! of course the phone techs were ever so helpful in pointing out that i must have done something wrong (which of course i hadn't and i knew that), until they couldn't help me fix it (they made me do everything over again that i'd already done to try to fix it on my own, not believing i know how to troubleshoot. christ!!). ). it took them 3 days of "phone support" to figure out that it might be a good idea if they took the same model into their labs and install the bios update themselves.... and lo and behold they created the same mess and weren't able to fix it. doh. as of this post they're still over there at ibm scratching their geek heads, and i'm stuck without millions of colours - the bios update blew the video drivers to pieces... at one point the only display i could get was pitch black but i managed to get back up to 16 bit, which is better than nothing. this happened before i got a chance to install my new cd writer, so i lost just about everything when i had to format. i went into my system thru' safe mode to get as much as possible on floppy but there's just not a lot you can put on those small disks. so the lesson is, the day you buy a back up of some sort, whether it be a zip drive or cd rw, install it immediately...! don't laze about waiting to do it some other time...! 8-)

dunno what the heck you or anyone else is complaining about. if blogger kills off personal narrative on the 'net i'll be the first one to do a jig. the less personal diaries online the better. i have to wonder what the fuck is the matter with people who feel the need to spew their pathetic personal details to a world of strangers. i have never found a single journal site interesting, never gone back to the same one twice. never will. don't journallers have friends in real life that they can share with...? what do they save to tell their most intimate confidants, like their spouses/significant others and best friends...? i'm horrified that people are shutting down their blogs and going back to journally navel gazing... especially judging from some of the "goodbye" pages i've seen. these melodramatic nitwits think they're stars of some sort, it's just sick-making. sidenote: did i just say you shouldn't have an online diary? no. i said i don't understand them, they seem dysfunctional. do you see me pointing a finger, complete with link at some poor soul's diary. no, i didn't think so. shoo, fly.
in my world june is over. i will not blog one more famous june birthday...! not blogging for 3 days was pure heaven so screw the rest of june. the only birthdays i'll be mentioning are the two that belong to amanda and heather, later this week.

June 23, 2000
no one wants to see pics of my wacom tablet or cd writer... the birthday presents everyone wants to see are my hello kitty blow dryer and hello kitty hands-free headset phone :-D
ok let's go see who the hell was born on june 23rd... *sigh*... frances mcdormand - actress, june carter cash - singer, and johannes gutenberg - mass production printing press dude. cool :-)

June 22, 2000

today's famous june baby is bruce campbell, everyone's favourite shemp 8-)
yesterday's june baby was prince william. now that he's turned 18 the press has permission to hound him to an untimely death. great.

June 20, 2000
today's my birthday...! i just woke up to an inbox jammed with birthday ecards, yay...! everyone's so sweet :-) i'm starting my day by going out for breakfast with my dad and zoran and then in the afternoon we're going to african lion safari where you drive your car thru' this huge wild life reserve. there's 100 different species including lions, white tigers, elephants, giraffes, rhinos, birds of prey etc. (african lion safari has been instrumental in saving 30 endangered species, successfully breeding them in natural habitat - this is not some ringling bros. animal torture fiasco) then at dinner time we're having a partae at my house... you should see my cake...! it's huge and it's all white chocolate inside and out *yum*. and i still have more presents to receive besides the ones my dad and zoran bought me last week. woo...! i love birthdays...!

if this were commonplace and safe i'd consider having children. here that sound...? that's zoran screaming like ned flanders and running from the room :-D i'm not entirely sure if that site is for real or not...

sammy says...
the internet, good: bright girls can get their ideas and thoughts and issues out to a wide audience.
the internet, bad: stupid girls, in desperate need of therapy, can get their ideas and thoughts and issues out to a wide audience.

heh, i had a bit of a tantrum down there in my last post :-D oh well. go here to clear landmines for free, while i research today's june babies...

June 16, 2000
what a stupid idea it was to blog famous birthdays for each day of june...! what a fucking tedious and annoying chore. i really hate daily blogging and can't comprehend those of you that do it.
today's june babies are: tupak shakur - dead guy who should have bypassed rap to be an actor instead, laurie metcalf - amazingly funny actress, stan laurel - comedian who was emotionally battered by his fuckwit partner oliver hardy, and erich segal - soppy overrated author. they have no links because there were no decent sites listed anywhere.

June 15, 2000

oh god, 2 days worth of june baby links to post today... how fricking tedious. if there was no one famous born on the 12th or 13th of june that i really love i'm not going to bother...
the courageous and inspiring diarist anne frank was yesterday's june baby and actress/author ally sheedy is today's. definitely worth the bother :-)

one of my hostees has moved on to her own brand new domain this week and i think i'm experiencing empty nest syndrome 8-) sarah janey is one of the most intelligent, soulful young women you could ever hope to meet and it was my honour and pleasure to host her for the last year. actually i can't think of how long she's been at katgyrl.com, it seems like forever, but in the best way possible... i'm so glad she's one of my geekgoddesses so she'll still be around all the time :-)
having hostees is a great experience and i recommend it to anyone who's got the space... it's nice to rescue someone from a crummy free server, plus you get the benefit of forming a small family-like community... see i have 9 other girls living at my domain so you can't feel too badly for me... but each one of them is the kind of person you never want to leave :-) so anyways... sarah, congrats on your new place...! and if you ever need the space again, it will be here for you.

here's a list for list-lovin-jo... or anyone that loves english or shakespeare. this list of words he invented should go along way in illustrating why i think he's the cat's pajamas:
frugal; radiance; dwindle; countless; submerged; excellent; fretful; hint; gust; hurry; lonely; summit; homocide; beautified; aggravate; forefathers; snow-white; fragrant; brittle; barefaced; critical; leapfrog; monumental; castigate; majestic; obscene...
this little list just floors me... i love this man, i absolutely love him. those words are 400 years old and yet we use them daily. apparently he invented something like 10% of the words he used in all his plays and sonnets. i picked up this great book about 10 years ago called 'the mother tongue: english and how it got that way' by bill bryson. if you're a big summer reader look for it at your library, it's a fascinating "history" and has lots more about shakespeare's contribution to english

June 05, 2000
that wonderfully fidgety girl has a little hello kitty desktop goodies webpage...! the floating kitty screen saver is my fave and is tiding me over nicely 'til the 20th when i expect to be showered in all manner of hk birthday pressies :-)

here are today's famous june babies...
dr. ruth

June 03, 2000
today's famous june baby is allen ginsberg.
Canadian Man Tries to Force Rich Family to Pay Tax. i stand behind this man 100%, i know this family personally and every last one of them are rat bastards. they don't deserve to live here... never have, never will. screw saidye's arts charities, in the larger picture that counts for jack shit. but beyond the personal repugnance i have for this specific family, why should the middle and working class pay everyone's way, while the rich get away with special tax evasion breaks...?

June 02, 2000
