Subject: did you hear ! !

they're casting new voices for the power puff girls for the movie! you should look into it :D

i know...! but i would never, ever accept an audition under these particular circumstances...! those jerks they work for are treating them like dirt, paying them as little as possible and threatening to hire "sound alikes"... that's total bullshit. just because you don't see our faces when you watch a 'toon, a documentary, or a commercial doesn't mean we're not unique. those women need to be treated with more respect by the company that owns ppg, they deserve to be paid more than "scale" - that company is making $350 million a year (and that's just on merchandise alone) based on the effectiveness of the voice actors, not just the animators and writers, so they can afford to pay them properly. i haven't worked for scale since i was a child for crying out loud. when you're established, you get paid what you're worth, not minimum wage - which is what "scale" means in the entertaiment industry - the actors/musicians unions decide what scale pay is, it's the going rate for newcomers, not long term proven professionals.

if they fire them and hire sound alikes i'll never watch that show again - not just for the unethical labour situation but also because the 'toon just won't sound right.

and that was your labour relations lesson for today 8-) (contracts were settled the next day - the actors won't be fired and they'll be voicing the upcoming ppg movie)

zoran came home from work day-before-yesterday and gifted me with a ruby and diamond ring. yesterday he brought me a xena warrior princess calendar. should be interesting to see what happens today =-)

here's a little something-something for those of us who were worrying that the new cast of survivor might not be as creepy as the original cast...

LOL! well, the zoran doll looks more like him than the tracy doll looks like me, that's for sure. go on, make your own dolly.

anyways, moving right along... gillian seems good to go with roommate from hell. i think she needs to fix her submission form, but in the mean time you could always just mail her your personal stories.

and you may ask yourself who would buy that...?? what a greatly amusing topic for a weblog...!
